Write for us

We welcome pitches that open a fresh, well-defined window onto objects, materials, making, adornment or the ways people keep things. A strong proposal brings a clear question and a reason readers might care.

What makes a good pitch

Send a short summary of the piece, its central question, the angle that makes it distinct and the kind of sources or examples you would use. Tell us which readers it is for and why the subject suits Silver Culture Journal. A specific, bounded idea is more useful than a broad theme or a finished draft without context.

What we are looking for

We are interested in careful explainers, comparisons, historical context and reported or reflective pieces grounded in clearly described experience. Proposals should make room for complexity, avoid unsupported generalisations and explain any limits on what the piece can claim. We do not seek product praise disguised as editorial coverage.

Send a proposal

Please send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a brief outline and relevant experience or writing samples if you wish; no particular credential is required. We cannot promise acceptance or a response time, and sending a pitch does not mean it has been commissioned.

Our point of view

Things are never just things

An object can be useful, beautiful, awkward, or all three before breakfast. We look at how materials and making acquire meaning in real life.
